Hamish Bowles, editor at large of Vogue Magazine, visited Oakland last weekend for a story about a few days in the life of Novella Carpenter, Oakland urban farmer and author of Farm City, Penguin Press. He stayed at Ghost Town, Novella’s west Oakland urban farm, and went on a bicycle tour of Oakland, stopping to fish and forage and, of course, get fitted for bike knickers! He order a made-to-measure Lumatwill vest and knickers. This is the before pic. We’ll see if we can’t get an after photo from Hamish. Look for his story in an upcoming issue of Vogue.
